Managing Withdrawal Symptoms
The facility’s medication assisted treatment (MAT) program uses FDA approved medications like buprenorphine. They’re prescribed to help you manage your withdrawal symptoms and ease your cravings. MAT is complemented by 12-step support and family therapy.
Aftercare will also be provided. Their aftercare services include a robust alumni program with weekly meetings and sober events led by coordinators to ensure your ongoing community connection.
Clients praise the empathetic staff. One client reflected on their anniversary date: “I want to thank you and the NorthStar family for teaching me the skills and knowledge to overcome my addictions. Yesterday was one year sober, and I never thought I could do it.” Many members of the staff are in recovery themselves, which allows for them to be understanding of your situation.
