About American Behavioral Clinic Layton Clinic

American Behavioral Clinic Layton Clinic is an outpatient addiction treatment and mental health center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that serves children, teens, and adults throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

The clinic was founded by Dr. James Winston in 1994 and offers quick appointment access, evidence based treatment, and a one stop shop model that includes psychiatrists, therapists, and advanced treatment options.

Outpatient Detox and Advanced Therapies

Clients can begin with a psychiatric evaluation and assessment to determine the most appropriate level of care. Treatment levels include general outpatient programs, outpatient detox, or more intensive treatment methods. Individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and couples counseling provide substance use treatment.

The clinic specializes in treating co-occurring disorders and uses evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed counseling, and 12 step facilitation.

Detox and Medication Assisted Treatment is available for opioid and alcohol use disorders. A specialized women’s group addresses substance use and mental health challenges. Additional services include relapse prevention, EMDR therapy, and psychological testing.

Services for All Ages

The center treats children ages six to 10, adolescents, adults, seniors, pregnant and postpartum women, veterans, and military personnel. Medicare, Medicaid, military insurance, and private insurances are available with a sliding fee scale available.

The clinic features an onsite Genoa Healthcare pharmacy, telehealth appointments, and same day or next day availability for new patients.
