About Banyan Treatment Centers | Chicago
Serving Chicago, Illinois, and surrounding areas, the Banyan Treatment Center offers various outpatient treatment services for substance use disorder in a modern and tranquil facility. Most private insurance plans are accepted, but Medicaid is only accepted in certain locations. This center can refer you to their main facility on Cabot Drive, also in Chicago.
Beat Chemical Dependency with Vivitrol
Banyan Treatment Centers offer Vivitrol treatment for patients who have completed detox, but are still struggling with opioid or alcohol cravings. Vivitrol blocks the euphoric effects of drugs and reduces cravings which persist long after a client becomes clean. Vivitrol is highly effective when used in combination with drug and alcohol addiction treatment, such as psychoeducation and therapy.
Other outpatient substance use services include individual and group counseling, psychotherapy for co-occurring disorders, relapse prevention, and peer support. I’m pleased to see that there are several levels of outpatient care, so clients needing more support and structure to engage in treatment are catered for.
The center isn’t too far away from Ward Park where you can unwind. There’s also a Dog Park not too far away.

Having struggled with her mental health, Gemma has spent much of her writing career focused on topics surrounding behavioral health and stigmatized health issues, such as eating disorders, depression, obesity, and sexually transmitted diseases. It was a natural step to write about addiction, with her background in Biology and Research Science playing a key role in understanding chemical dependency as a disease. By writing about drug rehabilitation in an accessible and compassionate way, she hopes more people will feel encouraged to seek help.
