BioCorRx Naltrexone Implant
About BioCorRx Naltrexone Implant
BioCorRx (formerly known as Fresh Start) operates alcohol abuse treatment centers nationwide, including one in Norwalk, Connecticut. They have developed a unique approach to outpatient medication assisted treatment (MAT) services utilizing a one time biodegradable Naltrexone to eliminate cravings and withdrawal symptoms over time. The non-invasive procedure is combined with counseling to address trauma and thought patterns that are fueling addictive behaviors.
Note that past clients report little to no pain with the procedure, and that the procedure itself takes less than half an hour.
Naltrexone Injections
Naltrexone’s role in alcohol addiction recovery is to block the opiate receptors in the brain, significantly reducing one’s cravings. What’s unique about this clinic’s approach, however, is that Naltrexone is used once and releases slowly over time. Compare this to methadone MAT, which requires regularly scheduled doses, and the advantage of this approach is clear: less travel, less scheduling and less to remember.
Personal Coaching
The counseling component of the program is one on one, where your provider will get to know you personally. This allows them to zero in on what your needs in life are, so the two of you can develop a plan going forward in your newfound sobriety. You’ll also learn crucial skills for maintaining sobriety that you can rely on in your everyday life.
