About Lutheran Social Services of Indiana
Known for its thriving downtown area and vibrant arts scene, Fort Wayne, Indiana, is home to Lutheran Social Services of Indiana. This faith based organization has provided behavioral health and social services to Indiana residents since way back in 1901. They welcome adults battling addiction who have completed initial treatment.
You can receive medication assisted treatment (MAT) referrals to meet you where you are in recovery. LaGrange, Allen, Whitley, Kosciusko, Fulton, Noble, Huntington, Wabash and DeKalb county residents are eligible for recovery care services. While they don’t offer MAT themselves, they do provide services to supplement your medications.
LSSI Works Program
Their LSSI Works program really stood out. They understand that reaching sobriety is just one part of recovery. They help you develop essential skills to overcome employment barriers and secure a sustainable career. You’ll benefit from building a solid foundation for long term recovery.
Financial Stability Services
I also like that they provide financial stability services. Along with securing employment, understanding how to maintain finances is vital to your journey. They offer support for basic needs as well as financial literacy and budgeting education. That way, you can preserve your income and avoid financial setbacks to build a secure future.
Family Support Services
Another great feature I noticed was their family support services. A loved one’s addiction also impacts family members. They provide screenings and assessments to address your loved one’s individual needs. Your family can also participate in educational and supportive multifamily therapeutic groups.
They also connect family members to community resources to promote wellness and stability. These services are available to anyone impacted by a loved one’s addiction, even if they aren’t currently in recovery.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
Programs
-
Alcohol Detox
Alcohol detox programs offer medical support to help individuals withdraw safely from alcohol. Your care team may use medications to ease your symptoms and provide medical monitoring to address complications.
-
Drug Detox
Drug detox programs support individuals who are withdrawing from addictive substances like cocaine and heroin. Medical support helps you manage symptoms in a controlled and safe environment so you can achieve initial sobriety.
