About MCCA McDonough House/Intensive Residential

Clients participating in the Intensive Residential Program at McDonough House follow an individualized treatment plan with their primary counselor. Attendance to individual and group therapy sessions are mandatory.

After an initial assessment, individuals are directed to the appropriate level of care. For some, detoxification in our medically monitored facility in Danbury is the first step. From there, clients may move onto outpatient, intensive outpatient or residential treatment—which includes short and long-term programs.
