Country Lane Apartments is a supervised residential housing program in Mount Sterling, Illinois operated by Mental Health Centers of Western Illinois for adults with mental illness. The facility offers 24 hour on-site staff support in an eight unit apartment setting designed to promote independence and recovery.

Supportive Housing for Mental Health Recovery
Country Lane Apartments provides structured and supervised living with around-the-clock staff to assist residents in building the skills needed for independent living. Each tenant has their own apartment within the facility which creates a balance between privacy and support.
Staff work with residents on essential life skills including self care, housekeeping and cooking, and grocery shopping combined with social skills development. Tenants are encouraged to work toward meaningful goals such as gaining employment and obtaining a driver’s license with staff providing guidance throughout the process.
Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Services
Country Lane is part of Mental Health Centers of Western Illinois, a private nonprofit community mental health center serving seven western Illinois counties.
MHCWI offers a continuum of care including outpatient counseling, case management, psychiatric services, and crisis intervention available 24 hours to support residents and the broader community.
They offer substance use counseling to clients ages 12 years and older. Those in need of detoxification services are referred to a local detox program.
Levels of Care

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.

Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.

Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.

Adult programs address the substance use and life challenges specific to adults. Therapists can deliver sessions in individual, group and family settings. Services often include job support and life skills training in a structured environment.
