North Star Treatment Group

About North Star Treatment Group
Located in Renton, Washington, North Star Treatment Group offers outpatient DUI alcohol and drug assessments. The facility is conveniently located near I-405. They offer Alcohol and Drug Information School (ADIS), victim impact panels, and intervention services for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). ‘
The facility doesn’t accept insurance, so clients must pay for the assessments and classes. This program does not include detoxification, but they can steer you to the nearest detox center, and then you can resume your DUI classes with them after detox. Please remember not to detox on your own, since that can be dangerous and even fatal without the proper supervision.
Alcohol and Drug Information School in Renton, Washington
Clients can enroll in the ADIS program to learn about the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol on the body. The program teaches clients better coping skills, enabling them to make safer decisions. The programs have been effective in decreasing substance abuse and crime rates.
The ADIS program at this facility is taught by a former university professor who makes the program entertaining and engaging. The instructor takes the difficult experience of a DUI and turns it into a moment of growth.
Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP)
If you’ve been convicted of impaired driving or a related offense, you may be ordered to attend a VIP. During the VIP, victims of drugged or drunk drivers share their experiences with you. The victims personalize the very real human consequences and often tragedies that result from intoxicated driving.
Most panels include two to four victims who share their stories. The goal isn’t to blame or judge you, but to share the long lasting effects of someone’s decision to get behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated.
Substance Use Intervention Services
For families seeking help with a loved one’s substance use/misuse, the facility offers interventions. Confronting someone’s substance use is a difficult task, and it’s often best to have an objective third party help. Staff at this facility specialize in helping DUI clients and organizing interventions for clients with SUD.
