NorthShore Deerfield Behavioral Health Center is a mental health and substance use treatment provider in Deerfield, Illinois that serves adolescents and young adults as part of NorthShore University HealthSystem. The center offers intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs that address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Treatment for Youth and Young Adults

The center provides Intensive Outpatient Programs and Partial Hospitalization Programs designed specifically for adolescents ages 12 to 18 and young adults ages 19 to 24. PHP runs Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 2:30pm for seven to 10 days while IOP typically lasts two to four weeks. An After School IOP and alumni aftercare group support continues progress after treatment.

NorthShore Deerfield serves teens and young adults dealing with mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use disorders, including LGBTQ individuals and clients with trauma or PTSD. The team includes a chemical dependency consultant and can refer clients to specialized addiction services at the Doreen E Chapman Center within the NorthShore system.

Programs use evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and motivational interviewing, delivered through individual, group, and family sessions.
