About NuWay Community Services Inc
NuWay Community Services strives to help adults break free from opioid addiction and chemical dependency. This private nonprofit offers medical detoxification and specialized outpatient programs in the Park Manor neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. You can access culturally aware and gender sensitive services that are respectful of your background and needs.
Facilitating Recovery with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
A great thing I noticed about them is that they offer a medically supervised SAMHSA certified opioid treatment program. They prescribe methadone, an FDA approved medication, to assist with detox. You can also continue your journey with methadone maintenance to safely manage withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings.
This blended approach includes counseling, using contingency management, dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. You’ll also receive case management and discharge planning to build a strong foundation for sustained recovery.
A Holistic Approach With Community Collaboration
I also think it’s great that you can access a wide array of supportive services. You can receive Hepatitis C care, health education, assistance accessing social services and more. They work closely with local agencies, law enforcement and referral partners to create a strong support network. You’ll benefit from improving essential aspects that can promote lasting recovery.
Supportive and Dedicated Counselors
I was impressed that many clients highlighted the support and professionalism of their dedicated counselors. Several former clients expressed ongoing success with methadone and appreciated the personalized guidance they received throughout their journey. One client said, “The staff are understanding and genuinely want to help. Thanks to NuWay, I’ve been able to stay clean and rebuild my life.”
