Professional Diagnostic Services (PDS), SC in Chicago, Illinois, is a community based outpatient treatment center. They are licensed by the State of Illinois Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.
Bilingual Treatment Services
The center was founded by Dr. Kenneth Davis who noted an increase in opioid use in white collar adults and adolescents who were his substance use patients. The center offers services in English and Spanish by psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers. Pregnant mothers are given priority services.
Detox with Methadone and Therapy
During your first phase of treatment, your physician seeks to stabilize your symptoms with methadone to minimize withdrawal symptoms.
The second phase of treatment seeks to improve your stability and functioning at work, home and in the community. To us, the return to a functioning individual is most important because this is the space in which the individual can start to repair their life and relationships.
During the third phase, methadone is tapered in a way that prevents you from returning to opioid use. Phase four continues your substance use therapy and counseling after having been tapered off of methadone.
