About Recovery Road
Recovery Road is an addiction and mental health treatment organization that operates gender specific sober living homes. They’re based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They currently have 11 homes, five of which are for women and six are for men.
The houses offer clients a transition back to mainstream life as they work through their mental health and addiction challenges. Please note that the homes do not offer detoxification. However, the staff can help you connect with a detox program, after which you may qualify to move into one of the sober living homes.
Welcoming and Friendly Sober Living Homes in Michigan
The sober living homes welcome a diverse clientele. They’re LGBTQIA+ friendly and respect that individuals come from different backgrounds with varying experiences.
To join one of the houses, it requires an initial payment to move in that covers the first two weeks in the house. You’ll have to a pay monthly fee to continue living in the home.
The fee covers utilities and internet access with WiFi available for laptops, smartphones and other internet devices. There are phones available in each house with free long distance calls in the U.S. All homes have laundry facilities.
Supporting Your Sobriety
You’ll find a caring and supportive community of people working toward the goal of long term sobriety. The house is set up to ensure you have the best possible help in achieving this goal.
You’ll contribute $5 per week to the house fund for necessities such as laundry, detergent, toilet paper and cleaning supplies. You’ll need to observe the house curfew, but you may be eligible for overnight outings after 30 days.
The homes are spread throughout the Grand Rapids area, but all the homes are on a bus line for easy access. You’ll be near community resources such as local food banks and you’ll have easy access to support meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
Programs
-
