Garden Gate Residential Treatment Program
About Garden Gate Residential Treatment Program
Run by Unison Behavioral Health, Garden Gate Residential Treatment Program is a long-term intensive residential program for women experiencing addiction. You can find them in Waycross, Georgia, a short drive from Unison’s main office on Mary Street. The peaceful residential neighborhood offers a solid backdrop for anyone looking to get sober and reclaim their lives.
MAT and Specialized Care for Pregnant and Parenting Women
They have capacity to house 14 women and their dependent children, with priority given to those who are pregnant and experiencing addiction to IV or opioid drugs.
They’re able to provide medication assisted treatment and nursing assessments prior to admission. They also have crisis intervention services if you’re the loved one of a person experiencing addiction who isn’t yet ready to seek treatment on their own.
Comfortable Yet Structured Programming
The structured, live-in environment is a great space for women at all stages of recovery. They place emphasis on developing within the community built in the house, with peer support forming a large part of the healing process.
The house has many communal spaces throughout, which give you space to bond with other residents or spend time with your children.
Treatment That Aims to Empower
Along with regular individual and group therapy sessions, their program also includes life skills training so you can make practical improvements in your day to day life. They have sessions dedicated to relapse prevention strategies, where you’ll learn the best ways to avoid triggering situations and practice choosing sobriety in different scenarios.
Their person centered approach is holistic and empowers you as an individual. You’ll leave the center feeling capable of maintaining sobriety, knowing you have a community to lean on if temptation should arise. Past residents highlight the positive impact the program had on their lives and mention feeling confident post-treatment.
