Coastal Horizons Center provides a continuum of professional services to promote healthier lives, stronger families, and safer communities. These services are provided to make a significant impact on the physical, emotional, and social development of children, adults, and families in the communities we serve.
Outpatient Treatment provides comprehensive and confidential assessment, counseling, education, and referral services for substance abusers and their families. Fees are affordably based on a sliding scale. Medicaid is accepted.
Coastal Horizons offers an enhanced treatment service called IOP. It’s an intensive outpatient program for people ages 18 years old and older with a primary substance use diagnosis. IOP is a 12 week program consisting of group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy and case management to link clients with community resources. It is offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 3 hours each day. CHC offers a morning and evening IOP program to fit the needs of our client’s schedules. Contact your local CHC office to find out available IOP hours.
Topics addressed in IOP include relapse prevention planning, mental health issues, wellness, family roles, emotion regulation, and communication skills. Transportation incentives are also provided for our IOP clients in order to assist them with getting to treatment. We are dedicated to addressing any barriers you may have to treatment. Overall, IOP outcomes show that clients report that they have started attending more support meetings such as AA or NA, report a decrease in substance use, and report an increased satisfaction with their recovery by the end of their IOP time.
