About Eisenhower Army Medical Center

Eisenhower Army Medical Center is a dedicated mental and behavioral health provider located on Fort Gordon, Georgia. Folks can access them through the north lobby and parking is conveniently located on that side. They serve the military community, veterans and family members alike.

Outpatient services include the Vigilance and Victory tracks. There’s also a specialized residential treatment program to maintain force readiness. A multidisciplinary approach that addresses addiction alongside co-occurring PTSD and traumatic brain injury.

Program Specifics

The center provides a continuum of care starting with the Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) for assessments and group therapy. Those requiring 24/7 support can go to the Residential Treatment Facility for a four-week inpatient program featuring medical supervision, 12 Steps and rehabilitation therapies.

Outpatient behavioral health services are also available for ongoing psychotherapy and medication management.

The What and How

Clinical staff specialize in treating severe alcohol and substance use disorders, often in conjunction with co-occurring mental health diagnoses. The team is equipped to handle military-specific challenges, including deployment-related trauma, depression and mild traumatic brain injury. Integrative transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is available for appropriate candidates.

Services are covered by TRICARE for eligible beneficiaries, including active-duty personnel, retirees, and their families. Coverage typically includes medically and psychologically necessary inpatient and outpatient treatment for substance use and mental health issues.

Committed to Service Member Health

Active duty service members can often self-refer to the ASAP or Vigilance Behavioral Health programs, though many specific services like detox require referrals. For immediate crises or emergencies, walk-in triage is available during duty hours to ensure rapid access to care.

Eisenhower Army Medical Center stands ready to support the recovery and resilience of service members through expert care.
