About House of Hope
Mission Teens – House of Hope is a faith-based residential recovery residence in Brazil, Indiana that provides a free, long-term discipleship program for adults overcoming life-controlling issues like addiction.
The program offers a structured, biblically-centered environment focused on spiritual growth and personal responsibility for both men and women. This nonprofit ministry fosters holistic healing in a supportive community setting and offers a unique path to recovery rooted in Christian faith and service.
Faith Based Residential Discipleship Program
House of Hope’s core specialty is its residential discipleship program which addresses substance abuse and behavioral issues through spiritual development and structured community living. The program was founded on Evangelical Christian principles and is staffed primarily by graduates who provide mentorship based on their own recovery journey within the same framework.
Each day includes approximately five and a half hours of Bible instruction alongside chores and peer accountability to rebuild a stable foundation. This immersive approach targets the underlying spiritual and emotional patterns of addiction to guide residents toward a transformed life through faith, discipline, and increasing responsibility.
Structured Phases for Lasting Change
The program is designed around a clear, four phase structure where each stage lasts between two and four months. Residents progress by successfully meeting the expectations of each phase which gradually increases their duties and privileges within the household.
This phased system provides a roadmap for recovery, building life skills and accountability in a step by step manner. The consistent routine and clear rules are intended to instill discipline and prepare individuals for a stable, independent life after the program.
Your Journey to Recovery Starts Here
House of Hope provides in-person residential care at its rural Indiana location, serving adults aged 18 and older from across the country. This program is offered completely free of charge and is sustained through donations and church support rather than insurance or government funding.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
-
Intervention
An intervention is a structured and professionally guided conversation with an individual who is struggling with addiction. During the conversation, family and friends will encourage you to seek treatment. This is often a pivotal step for those resistant to getting help.
