About Inspirations for Youth and Families
Inspirations for Youth and Families is a residential addiction treatment center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The program exclusively serves adolescents ages 13 to 17 years who are struggling with substance abuse, behavioral issues and co-occurring mental health disorders. The program offers residential treatment, outpatient services and transitional care, all delivered through gender specific programming designed for teens.
The program was founded in 2008, combining evidence based therapies, family involvement and onsite accredited education to help teens restore their health and prepare for successful reintegration into everyday life.
Addiction Treatment Programs
Treatment typically begins with an assessment and placement into the residential inpatient program, where teens receive round the clock medical and emotional support in a structured, safe environment. Gayle Morris, BSN, MSN, received her bachelor’s from the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center and her first master’s from the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She practiced nursing for over two decades with a focus on pediatric physical rehabilitation, which required mental health skills to help children, and their parents work through new challenges after a head injury or spinal cord injury. She has been a freelance writer in health, wellness, and mental health for over 15 years. She loves exercise, her dogs and guinea pigs, and gardening.
