About Launch Pad
Launch Pad is a recovery housing community based in Wilmington, North Carolina. They provide a stable and supportive starting place for lifelong sobriety.
They no longer offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) services, but they can connect you to helpful resources if you’re ready to begin your sobriety journey.
Evolving Treatment Program
They used to provide outpatient substance abuse treatment under the name Launch Pad Wellness, but they concentrated their service offerings to recovery housing in recent years. As part of their previous service offerings, they offered Vivitrol injections to manage cravings and withdrawals.
To access this medication assisted treatment, clients were required to attend group therapy sessions. Here, they’d learn life skills for recovery, engage in role play activities, attend art therapy sessions, and practice meditation.
Launch Pad Wellness offered individual, group, and family therapy to help clients navigate different challenges that came up in their recovery journeys. They’d also help clients design a long-term plan for their sobriety, encouraging them and holding them accountable.
Sober Living Community
The idea behind each Launch Pad location is that you get to live in a home surrounded by people who understand some of the challenges you’ve faced to get sober. You participate in collaborative household activities while attending 12 Step meetings and recovery groups throughout the week. In this safe environment, you learn to be a productive member of society while having a ton of sober fun.
Accountability During Recovery
To help you stay on track, Launch Pad will randomly provide drug screenings. They also connect you to various recovery groups and crisis intervention services when you need more help. They assign live-in house managers who help coordinate residents and ensure everyone is contributing to the running of the home.
To help you succeed, Launch Pad creates an individualized goal plan with you. They also give you access to bus services to attend job interviews, recovery meetings or work.
