During this first step of treatment, comfort and compassion are crucial. We are dedicated to making sure our clients are safe and that their needs – emotional, physical and psychological – are tended to by a team of medical professionals and support staff.
Our Detoxification Unit is medically staffed 24 hours a day with ASAM certified physicians and Registered Nurses.
Detox is the process of allowing the body to rid itself of alcohol or other drugs while managing the symptoms withdrawal in a medically supervised setting. Alina Lodge has its own detoxification Unit consisting of 10 beds. The length of detox is determined by the amount of substance being used and the length of time a person has been using that substance. It is assessed on a case to case basis. Other factors include a person’s age and health.
This phase of treatment includes a thorough assessment to ensure the individual safely overcomes the physical effects of alcohol and drug withdrawal.
During detoxification we have the opportunity to address any medical concerns and begin the process of developing a personalized therapeutic relationship.
