About Memphis VAMC Savannah CBOC

Memphis VAMC Savannah CBOC is a community based outpatient clinic that serves United States veterans in western Tennessee with primary care and behavioral health services. The clinic offers individual counseling, group therapy, and family counseling to address substance use disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and co occurring mental health conditions.

As part of the Memphis VA Medical Center network, the Savannah location delivers coordinated, veteran focused services closer to home for individuals living in rural communities.

Behavioral Health and Substance Use Treatment for Veterans

The Savannah CBOC provides outpatient behavioral health services tailored to the experiences and needs of veterans ages 18 years and older. Care may include individual counseling, group therapy and family counseling for substance use disorders and co occurring mental health conditions such as post traumatic stress disorder, trauma related concerns, depression and anxiety.

Behavioral health services are coordinated with primary care to support a comprehensive approach to wellness. Veterans work with providers who are familiar with military related stressors and service connected trauma. Same day mental health access may be available through the VA system when urgent needs arise. The outpatient structure allows veterans to maintain work, family and community responsibilities while receiving ongoing support.

Integrated Care and Community Access

The clinic integrates primary care and behavioral health services in one setting. On site offerings may include laboratory services, nutritional counseling and smoking cessation support. When specialized treatment is required, veterans can be referred within the broader Memphis VA Medical Center network for additional services.

Transportation assistance for scheduled appointments may be available through Disabled American Veterans and local county VA directors, helping improve access for veterans who live farther from the clinic.

Services are typically free or low cost for veterans who are enrolled through the Memphis VAMC Eligibility Office, and private insurance is not required for eligible individuals. Veterans can contact the clinic directly to confirm enrollment status and schedule an appointment.
