About Northwell at South Oaks Hospital DBA South Oaks Hosp Detox
To further serve the community, South Oaks Hospital expanded its chemical dependency program providing patients with a warm and inviting experience. In 2013, Jennings Hall was redesigned and repurposed to meet the demonstrated need of our inpatient rehabilitation and detoxification programs. South Oaks opened this newly redesigned environment to promote healing and recovery. The program provides treatment and can serve a census of up to 52 individuals at one time including 24 inpatient beds allocated for detoxification, and 28 beds allocated for rehabilitation.
Jennings Hall is a beautiful building outfitted with warm and vibrant décor with considerable natural light, handsome accommodations, private space for meetings, and extensive dining and lounge facilities. During warmer weather, the scenic outdoor patio is a favorite gathering place for patients.
For patients who are affected by coexisting disorders – a combination of addictive disorder(s) and mental illness(es) – South Oaks can provide comprehensive psychiatric services in the Chemical Dependency and Substance Abuse Program.
