About Prosperity Counseling
Prosperity Counseling is a private outpatient clinic in one of the nation’s oldest cities, New Haven, Connecticut. They welcome adults seeking addiction and mental health treatment. You can access in person and telehealth services for your convenience including counseling, medical marijuana services and medication management.
Medication Assisted Treatment in New Haven
For me, their MAT program really stood out. You can participate in this blended approach which combines FDA approved medications and proven therapeutic interventions. Medications can help you manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms that can disrupt recovery.
They offer trauma informed care in group, individual, couples, and family sessions. Solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing are available. These approaches can help you recognize and address the root causes of addiction.
Partnership with Prosperity House
Another great feature I noticed was their partnership with Prosperity House. They work with this nonprofit sober living home to provide ongoing care after clients complete an initial program.
You can access financial assistance for sober housing, vocational and job readiness training, reentry services, life skills development, and more. They help you rebuild other essential recovery aspects to enhance your journey.
Small Group Sizes
I also think it’s wonderful that they have small group sizes. Each group typically has about six to eight peers. With small group sizes, you’ll benefit from attentive care from their dedicated professionals and an intimate space to open up and learn from others.
Diverse Team
Their diverse team also caught my eye. Many of their professionals are members of the BIPOC community. This can allow them to provide culturally competent care with a deeper understanding of the unique challenges the populations they serve may face.
