The Upper Room Recovery Community
About The Upper Room Recovery Community
The Upper Room Recovery Community Center is located in South Bend, Indiana. This is a community care center that offers transitional housing for adults who are transitioning out of residential or outpatient treatment and into an independent lifestyle.
Many people who live here have successfully overcome detox, and some continue on medication assisted treatment while living here as well. You’ll find a supportive place to live while you work through ongoing addiction treatment services.
Their program provides access to housing at a flat fee of $100 a week, though this fee may change based on the current housing market. You can speak with an intake team to learn more about the cost.
Gender Separated Housing
The programming here serves as the second stage in their organization’s recovery initiatives. To live here, you must have maintained your sobriety for a minimum of 30 days. Their residential units are gender separated so that you feel safe and at ease as you move through transitional housing. Their women’s unit offers 16 beds, while their men’s unit is much larger, with a 30 bed capacity.
Supportive Residential Recovery
While living in one of their residential units, you’ll have the opportunity to flex that muscle of independence so that you can build the skills that will allow you to sustain your independence once you transition out of this center.
While living here, you will be responsible for providing your own toiletries, food, and laundry supplies. However, there are a number of amenities provided to you here so you can feel at home and at ease as you work through treatment.
Some of the amenities include free laundry facilities, dormitory style living where you’ll be sharing a room and a community space with other people in the program, access to a TV and exercise equipment, as well as on site parking and storage for other personal vehicles like bicycles.
There are shared community spaces like a kitchen, but everyone also has their own individual refrigerator as well.
