About Bethel Colony of Mercy

Bethel Colony of Mercy provides Christ centered residential alcohol, drug, and substance abuse treatment at separate on-campus locations for men and women in Lenoir, North Carolina. Admission requires an online application or one submitted by email or fax.

At the time of admission, you pay the entry fee online or with a money order. If you’re unable to pay the entry fee, you can inquire about scholarship funds that might be available or other financial assistance. The remainder of the treatment is provided free of charge.

Structured Residential Schedule

Clients have a 65-day basic program with a strict daily schedule that begins with a morning classroom Bible teaching. Three afternoons a week you engage in a cassette tape teaching and a six book Bible study series from the Navigators Studies in Christian living.

Each client has daily work projects assigned after morning class and in the afternoon after lunch. Recreational activities are included, such as basketball, cornhole, horseshoes, and television with viewing limited to sports, news, nature, and religion.

The daily schedule begins with cleaning your room and making your bed and ends with cabin cleanup in the evening. They do not provide structured therapy or detoxification services. Instead, the program’s goal is to help you establish healthy work habits and grow a deeper relationship with Christ that supports you in your recovery journey.
