About Bradford Health Services Chattanooga

In a quiet suburban neighborhood in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Bradford Health Services offers various outpatient substance use treatment services. They’re known for adapting their treatment approach for wherever a client is on their recovery journey, be it just at the beginning or recently transitioning from residential treatment. It’s welcome to see that the outpatient programs are flexible, allowing clients to manage their daily commitments while actively participating in treatment.

Medication Assisted Treatment for the Whole Person

It’s great that Bradford Health Services recognizes that abstinence-based programs don’t work for everyone and therefore offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). By combining meds to reduce cravings and withdrawal with counseling and behavioral therapy, MAT provides a ‘whole person’ approach to treatment. Bradford Health Services offers several maintenance medications including buprenorphine for opioid addiction and Vivitrol for alcohol and opioid dependency.

Other outpatient services for substance use disorder include individual and group therapy sessions, alcohol and drug education classes, family support, aftercare programs, and community support groups.

BSc

Having struggled with her mental health, Gemma has spent much of her writing career focused on topics surrounding behavioral health and stigmatized health issues, such as eating disorders, depression, obesity, and sexually transmitted diseases. It was a natural step to write about addiction, with her background in Biology and Research Science playing a key role in understanding chemical dependency as a disease. By writing about drug rehabilitation in an accessible and compassionate way, she hopes more people will feel encouraged to seek help.
