About CATS LLC
Certified Addiction Treatment for Substances, also known as CATS, provides outpatient treatment for individuals with alcohol and substance use disorders. Serving the community of Greeley, Colorado, CATS was established in 1999. Operations continue even though the founder stepped down in 2014.
It started out as a service to help adolescents make low risk decisions about drugs and alcohol, then progressed to addiction treatment for adults and adolescents. They also offer DUI education classes, drug and alcohol evaluations, and other short-term group programs. There’s no detox-focused treatment level at this facility, but they can make referrals for acute care if needed.
Specialized DUI Treatment & Classes
CATS has DUI level one and level two therapy and education classes. These programs use a curriculum called Prime for Life and Prime Solutions. Topics range from psychoeducation on substance abuse to navigating low risk decision-making. These programs guide you on how to enact successful plans for change and put coping skills into practice.
The DUI level one education program is offered one time per month on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. DUI level two education is offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. DUI level two therapy is offered on Monday and Thursday evenings, and several times on Tuesdays.
Enroll in Relapse Prevention or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Groups
The two main group therapy programs for addiction recovery are the relapse prevention group and the cognitive behavioral therapy group. Both programs run for 12 weeks with 1.5 to 2-hour sessions each week.
In the CBT group, you’ll learn about recognizing and changing errors in thinking. Topics in group and individual sessions cover stress management, toxic relationships, and anxiety and depression.
The relapse prevention group works on developing life skills and recognizing and managing cravings. This group program is ideal for individuals who may have recently experienced a relapse.
