About Center for Healthcare Services Methadone Services
Center for Healthcare Services (CHCS) Methadone Services is a CARF accredited outpatient opioid treatment program in San Antonio, TX, serving adults through its Opioid Addiction Treatment (OATS) program.
The program provides medication assisted treatment alongside a broad menu of counseling approaches for adults facing opioid addiction, including those with cooccurring mental health disorders.
CHCS is committed to reducing stigma, protecting client rights, and applying evolving clinical strategies to support lasting recovery.
Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction
The OATS program specializes in outpatient medication assisted treatment, including methadone maintenance and buprenorphine maintenance for adults.
Following a comprehensive assessment, clients are matched to the right level of care, from general outpatient to intensive outpatient services.
First accredited by CARF in 2003, CHCS holds a three year accreditation for its adult opioid treatment program.
Treatment pairs medication support with evidence based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, contingency management and the Matrix Model.
Individual, group, family and couples counseling help clients address underlying issues, while relapse prevention planning and 12 Step facilitation support long term recovery.
Integrated Care at The Restoration Center
The program sits within The Restoration Center, a centralized campus that combines opioid treatment with cooccurring disorder support, detoxification, crisis intervention and primary care.
This model connects clients to coordinated services rather than a stand alone dosing clinic.
Spanish language services and support for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are also available.
Access and Next Steps
In-person services are offered at The Restoration Center on North Frio Street in San Antonio, with outreach and referral spanning Bexar County and Region 8.
