Lakeview Center of Walton County, formerly called Chautauqua Healthcare Services, is a mental health and substance abuse treatment facility in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The center offers inpatient residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient programs for clients of all ages including children and adolescents, adults and seniors.
As part of the Lakeview Center network serving Northwest Florida since 1973, the facility supports more than 4,000 clients annually with a team of over 100 professionals.
What programs are available?
Lakeview Center of Walton County provides residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs and outpatient services for substance use and mental health disorders.
Treatment includes individual and group, family and couples counseling, along with medication assisted treatment using buprenorphine and naltrexone for opioid addiction. Therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, contingency management and anger management.

The center serves clients of all ages, from children and adolescents to adults and seniors, including those with both mental health and substance use disorders.
Pregnant and postpartum women can access specialized care through the nearby JoAnn Birge Women and Children’s Center where mothers can keep children ages newborn to three with them during residential treatment. Court ordered clients are also welcome for assessments, batterers intervention and sex offender treatment.
