Clem Mar House for Men
About Clem Mar House for Men
Clem Mar House for Men is a residential recovery house located in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania. Men in the greater Wilkes-Barre area can become residents of Clem Mar House to enhance their addiction recovery. It’s a halfway house environment with an integrated 12-step philosophy.
This structured residential program offers counseling, life skills and ongoing aftercare. This program is open to men who may be coming from inpatient rehab, the legal system or self-referred.
This semi-independent living situation aims to prepare residents to reintegrate into their communities. Clem Mar House does not have a detox-focused program, but they have an on-staff psychiatrist for medication management and offer medical services through a local facility called McKinney Clinic.
Smoothly Transition Back Into The Community
This is a three to six-month program that will help you regain structure, organization, and employment while staying sober. The staff provides group and individual therapy to help you process and heal from your addiction.
A typical day at the house will include a morning meditation, 12 step meetings, educational lectures, group therapy and community meetings. Clem Mar House has four levels of treatment, and each level has a set of goals that need to be completed before you move on to the next level.
Progress At Your Own Speed
Each resident receives an individualized treatment plan that is solidified over the first 14 days. During your initial assessment, you’ll share your treatment history and where you are in the process of recovery. Your counselor will determine how well you’re doing with reintegration by measuring your use of coping skills, life skills and educational and vocational skills.
