Inpatient detox at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center gives patients access to world-class treatment in a comfortable and safe facility. Once admitted, individuals will receive a personalized treatment plan. Treatment may include undergoing an initial psychiatric evaluation, therapy, and receiving medications to ease withdrawal symptoms.

MAT is an evidence-based treatment for opioid and alcohol addiction. Several medications such as methadone, Suboxone, buprenorphine and naltrexone have been approved by the FDA to be used as part of substance abuse recovery. These medications help reduce cravings as well as increase long-term sobriety. Individual, group, and family therapy are additional components to MAT. Modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation and electroconvulsive therapy may be explored for some clients.
