About Meridian Sid Martin Bridge House
The Sid Martin Bridge House is a substance use residential recovery program of Meridian Behavioral Healthcare. It accommodates 44 individuals at a given time in a safe, supportive and structured modern residential facility in Gainesville, Florida.
Comfortable Residential Recovery in Gainesville
The facility is fully equipped for comfort. They provide laundry and bedding essentials and residents enjoy three meals plus snacks daily. There’s a television in the common area for indoor relaxation. Medical, legal and recovery-related passes are available on a case-by-case basis after two weeks of stay.
The treatment philosophy here is rooted in the 12-step recovery model. You’re required to attend 12-step meetings like AA/NA, work the steps and find a sponsor while onsite.
The idea is to promote change in attitude, thought patterns and values through self-help and mutual support that exist in a community setting. You may also participate in therapy group sessions, life skill workshops and vocational or employment readiness programs as well as recreational activities and community outings or excursions.
Onsite MAT Services
Residents struggling with opioid use issues can receive medication-assisted treatment following approval by the on-site physician. Available FDA-approved meds for this evidence-based technique include Methadone, Subutex and Vivitrol.
You can be prescribed any of these meds by the resident doctor to help you manage painful withdrawal symptoms and curb physiological cravings. Paired with counseling, this can set you on a path to lasting healing. The program typically lasts between 28 and 90 days, depending on your progress with the relapse prevention plan, set goals and treatment plan as determined by your counselor. The staff will work with you to facilitate a smooth transition to the community upon discharge.
