About Renewal House Inc

Renewal House Inc is a family centered addiction treatment center in Nashville, Tennessee that specializes in substance use recovery for women and their children. With evidence based, trauma informed care, Renewal House addresses addiction, mental health, parenting, and economic stability for low income mothers seeking lasting recovery.

The center accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, TRICARE, government funding, and self-pay. Residential treatment costs are free to $500 per month. They offer 34 two bedroom apartment units, an on site Child Development Center, a playground, and a computer lab with meals provided.

Detox Referrals and Substance Use Treatment

The house does not offer detox or medication assisted treatment but can refer women to local facilities that offer these services. Women can begin with the Family Residential Program which is a long term option for pregnant women or mothers with children ages newborn to 10.

They live on site in two bedroom apartments while receiving intensive addiction treatment, case management, and wraparound services. The Women’s Intensive Outpatient Program includes a specialized track for pregnant and postpartum women that meets three times per week.

Recovery for the Whole Family

Clients receive individual and group counseling using dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and 12 step facilitation. Programs address co-occurring mental health disorders, trauma, and parenting skills through services such as the Celebrating Families curriculum, vocational training, and early intervention for children up to age 10.
