The Oasis at HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital is a hospital based addiction treatment center in Tampa, Florida that offers medically supervised detoxification and inpatient substance use treatment. The program operates as a 68-bed behavioral health unit within a full service acute care hospital, providing 24/7 medical supervision by staff trained in addictionology.

Hospital Based Detox

The Oasis provides hospital inpatient detoxification and hospital inpatient treatment with medical supervision and registered nursing care. Services include individual, group, family, and couples counseling, medication assisted treatment, and evidence based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and 12 step facilitation.

Typical medically supervised detox stays last four to five days with aftercare planning and weekly follow up meetings to support long term recovery.

Specialized Programs for Diverse Clients

The program serves adults and young adults, including seniors, pregnant and postpartum women, veterans, active duty military, and LGBT individuals. They specialize in treating co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder in conjunction with substance use and provide detoxification for alcohol, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, and opioids.
