Tampa Community Hospital Addiction Recovery Unit is also called the Oasis. They offer hospitalization to those who need help with detox. My best friend was suffering from really bad meth addiction. She was scared she was going to die, and I was too. Her parents took her to The Oasis, and she was able to get help.
She told me it was a really great program. They had special care for people who were hard of hearing and classes to help you stop smoking. She also has been in aftercare with them for over a year. She told me all the nurses were amazing while she was in detox and that they were super nice to her. She also felt safe because they had a way to transport people who were getting worse into a more severe wing where they could look after them more. I think she’s alive because she went here, and so, I’m really glad she did.
