Elizabeth L. Sturz Outpatient Treatment Center, operated by Argus Community, Inc., provides medically supervised intensive outpatient and regular outpatient substance abuse treatment for adults and adolescents in the Bronx, New York.

The center serves Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, and Richmond County residents at its South Bronx location, with both in person and telehealth options available six days per week. Medicaid, Medicare, and most major private insurance plans are accepted with a sliding scale fee schedule ensuring no one is denied care due to inability to pay.

Outpatient Detox for Opioid Use Disorder

The center specializes in intensive outpatient programming that combines clinical therapy with detox and medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. Medications prescribed include buprenorphine (Suboxone), naltrexone (Vivitrol), and methadone.

Treatment sessions blend evidence based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy with 12 step facilitation, relapse prevention planning, and recovery coaching. Wraparound services include employment counseling, vocational training, and job placement to support long term recovery.

Specialized Adolescent Recovery Programming

The clinic offers dedicated adolescent services for ages 13 to 17, with after school counseling sessions from 4:00 to 5:00pm designed around youth schedules. The program includes TASC and High School Equivalency programming for ages 17 to 24 which helps teens and young adults build educational and life skills alongside their recovery journey.
