Policies

ADMISSION CRITERIA:

  • Patient must meet clinical criteria for detoxification  from alcohol
  • Patient can be referred by a physician, agency, hospital or self
  • Voluntary admission
  • 18 years of age and older

VISITATION:

  • Daily 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Only two visitors per patient at a time
  • No one under the age of 18 is permitted
  • No food or drinks are permitted on the unit (except hard candy and gum in original wrappers)
  • Items brought into the unit by a visitor must be checked by staff

SMOKING:

  • BHS is a smoke free environment
