About Harlem East Life Plan

Harlem East Life Plan (HELP) is a CARF accredited outpatient treatment center in East Harlem providing integrated care for substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and primary medical needs.

The facility offers detox and medication assisted treatment, individual and group counseling, and evidence based therapies including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing to serve adults with co-occurring disorders.

Detox and MAT for Opioid Use Disorder

HELP specializes in opioid use disorder treatment through its SAMHSA certified opioid treatment program. The facility offers detox and medication assisted treatment including methadone maintenance, buprenorphine, and naltrexone paired with counseling services available in English and Spanish.

Treatment combines medication management with evidence based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and contingency management. Sessions focus on building coping skills, preventing relapse, and creating sustainable recovery plans in addition to peer support and case management.

Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care

HELP provides addiction treatment, behavioral health services, and primary medical care in one location. Physicians specializing in infectious diseases provide treatment for HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, and other conditions commonly associated with substance use.

Access and Getting Started

HELP offers same day walk-in services Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and is licensed by New York State. They accept Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance with sliding scale fees and payment assistance based on income and family size.
