About Hope House Outpatient Clinic
The Troy Outpatient facility of Hope House is a nonprofit outpatient facility in Troy, New York. This SAMHSA accredited facility is dedicated to helping adolescents and adults overcome substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. They use a client centered approach and tailor care to your individual needs. Medicaid, private insurance, TRICARE and self-pay are accepted to ensure affordability. Telehealth is available.
Weekly Treatment
The center offers standard outpatient and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). IOP involves nine to 15 hours of weekly treatment that includes specialized group sessions, daily therapy groups and weekly individual counseling.
They use evidence based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention to help foster your coping skills and self awareness. I like that they emphasize family involvement with collaborative evaluations and family therapy. This is done to strengthen communication and your support networks, particularly for adolescents.
Mental Health Alongside Addiction
The center also provides dual diagnosis treatment by addressing mental health alongside addiction. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) can be used with buprenorphine and naltrexone for opioid and alcohol use disorders. The FDA medications will be prescribed externally.
Additional services include substance use education, smoking cessation counseling and recovery support like housing assistance, employment counseling and peer mentoring. The center collaborates with local courts by offering batterers’ intervention groups and impaired driver classes.
Clients praise the skilled and empathetic staff which includes master level clinicians and licensed counselors. Some did mention scheduling challenges.

Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
