About Insight Human Services Womens Recovery Center

Insight Human Services Women’s Recovery Center is a private nonprofit treatment facility in Asheville, North Carolina. They offer gender specific substance abuse and cooccurring mental health services exclusively for women.

The center provides outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programs, comprehensive outpatient treatment, detox services and medication assisted treatment tailored to the unique needs of teen, young adult and adult women.

With trained specialists experienced in trauma informed care, the program addresses adversities and challenges specific to women in recovery, including those who have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual abuse or domestic trauma.

Motivational Interviewing, Contingency Management and the Matrix Model for Women

The Women’s Recovery Center specializes in gender specific treatment that recognizes how women experience addiction and recovery differently than men.

The program offers a continuum that includes detox, IOP meeting three days per week and SACOT meeting up to five days per week with group and individual counseling.

Treatment incorporates evidence based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Contingency Management and the Matrix Model to address both substance use and underlying trauma.

Sessions focus on recovery education, relapse prevention and building coping skills in a supportive women only environment.

Clients have noted success after previous unsuccessful attempts elsewhere, with the program’s approach helping them achieve sustained sobriety.

Buprenorphine, Naltrexone and Acamprosate for Opioid and Alcohol Use Disorders

The center offers comprehensive MAT with multiple medication options including buprenorphine, naltrexone and acamprosate for opioid and alcohol use disorders.

Specialized services support pregnant and postpartum women including those seeking custody of children with priority admissions available.
