The detox program provides men and women struggling with substance use disorders a safe and medically supervised transition through the acute phase of withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. The program is staffed by nurses and CNAs 24 hours a day, and is overseen by a physician. Substance use counselors are available to clients during the duration of their admission for education, intervention, case coordination, individual and group counseling, and referral management. Length of stay typically ranges between 3 and 7 days. Maine residents are admitted regardless of ability to pay.
