About Open Heart Family Wellness – Tempe

Open Heart Family Wellness has been providing services to Tempe, Arizona residents since 1974. Their goal is to ensure children through seniors have access to quality mental health services, allowing them to flourish and build healthy relationships.

While located between Phoenix and Mesa, there are several local attractions offering respite between therapy sessions including the Desert Botanical Garden, Sea Life Arizona Aquarium and Camelback Mountain.

Support Prevents Substance Use Relapse

Although they did not have a structured substance use disorder treatment program, they do address mental and behavioral health challenges that can trigger a relapse. The focus is on a holistic approach that addresses more than your symptoms.

Additionally, the program is highly flexible, bringing therapy and support directly to your environment in your home, community center or school.

Evidence Based Treatment and Transitional Housing

Therapists offer evidence-based treatment modalities, including the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics which was developed to provide a trauma informed and brain based approach to treatment.

Another thing I like about the program is the transitional housing available for homeless families and youth. While residing at the location, you have access to several resources that help support sobriety including financial literacy, life skills training, employment assistance and mental health sessions.
