Penn Presbyterian Medical Center operates an addiction treatment program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that offers comprehensive substance use disorder services within the Penn Medicine health system. As part of an academic medical center, clients benefit from access to cutting edge research, evidence based therapies, and 24 hour clinical care.

MAT for Diverse Clients

Penn Presbyterian offers hospital inpatient treatment and detoxification, residential rehabilitation, intensive outpatient programs, and general outpatient programs with medication assisted treatment options. Medication-assisted treatment includes buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone.

The program serves adult men and women with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Specialized services are available for clients with HIV or AIDS, LGBT individuals, and those needing dual diagnosis treatment. The center provides special programs for clients with opioid use disorder.

Unique Family Therapies

Therapies used include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma counseling, motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention. The program also offers Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy to support family healing and promote long term recovery, plus individual, group, and family counseling.

Penn Presbyterian accepts Medicare, Medicaid, state financed health plans, private insurance, and military insurance including TRICARE.
