About Quapaw House Inc – Closed
Quapaw House Inc. was an addiction treatment house that was located in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They’re closed now but they provided a medical detoxification process alongside professional therapists and counselors when you were seeking addiction treatment.
Medical and Observational Detoxification
The program’s purpose was to provide services that supported a life of sobriety, beginning with medical and observational detoxification. When you were seeking treatment for alcohol, opioid, or benzodiazepine addiction, you had access to medical detoxification that was monitored by physicians and could reduce your withdrawal symptoms.
The program typically lasted up to five days to finish the protocol but could be extended if it was medically necessary. Other addictions gave you access to observational detoxification that was less restrictive and did not involve medications. You were observed and monitored before entering into a traditional residential treatment program that could address your needs.
They had residential services for adolescents and adults as well as a transitional living situation and varying levels of outpatient services. Their goal was to provide compassionate and comprehensive care as well as prevention and educational services to families and the community.
Two Adult Residential Treatment Programs
The adult residential programs were divided into voluntary and court ordered residential treatment. The voluntary residential treatment program was from 21 days upward with an average of 6 hours of structured care each day that primarily focused on a 12-step recovery method.
The court ordered program was very similar, and both included evidence based curriculum and counseling, supervised recreational programs and lectures on life skills and coping strategies. The transitional living environment allows you to move into a safe home that was chemical free with the goal that you would have the strength to live independently and in sobriety after graduating.
