Primary Focus
- Addiction Recovery
The ambulatory detox program is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). It is designed for individuals who may be in need of an uncomplicated detox from alcohol or sedative hypnotics. Individuals who meet program criteria are not in need of hospitalization, but can benefit from breaking free from chemical addiction while in the safe environment of our shelter. A counselor and member of our medical department see individuals in the Ambulatory Detox program daily. Individuals also have access to an array of services including 12-step meetings, pastoral counseling and more. Typically, individuals who complete the Ambulatory Detox program go on for treatment in our Day Rehabilitation Program.
Clients must be male, above age 18.
All clients seeking admission must be psychiatrically and medically stable as determined by the admission nurse prior to admission.
Clients must be physically able to perform activities of daily living.
Urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests are administered upon admission and randomly throughout treatment.
Admissions are facilitated through referrals from outside agencies. Clients themselves can also contact the Admission Office for direct admission following a telephone screening.
The Admission Office is available between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
