About Transformations Mending Fences

Transformations Mending Fences is a substance addiction and mental health treatment center for adults 18 and older in Morriston, Florida. The center specializes in co-occurring disorders, trauma, and PTSD, with a dedicated track for veterans and first responders. Set on a peaceful 400-acre rural campus in northern Florida, the program combines supportive care with experiential therapies in a retreat-style environment.

Residential Withdrawal Access

The center provides 24-hour residential treatment with 24 beds where guests can focus on recovery without being distracted. Medication assisted treatment is available to help reduce drug cravings and alleviate withdrawal symptoms so clients remain comfortable and relaxed.

The campus includes semi-private rooms, a pool, a yoga studio, a basketball court, horse stables and access to nature trails that support healing in a quiet setting.

Intensive Outpatient Care

The facility also includes 21 beds for intensive day programming. The treatment tracks address substance use, mental health concerns and dual diagnosis through individualized plans that include therapies like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and motivational interviewing.

Transformations Mending Fences offers a “Help For Our Heroes” program designed specifically for veterans and first responders facing trauma, PTSD, job stress and chemical dependency. Beyond traditional therapy, clients participate in equine-assisted therapy, music therapy through SoundPath Recovery, recreation therapy, and family therapy sessions.

Levels of Care

  • Inpatient

Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

  • Outpatient

In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.

  • Dual Diagnosis

Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.

  • PHP

Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.

  • Aftercare

Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.

  • Sober Living

Sober living homes provide a supportive and substance free environment for you to live in as you overcome your addiction. Residents must follow house rules and support each other's recovery journeys. Sober living fosters accountability and stability during this critical phase of recovery.

  • Intervention

An intervention is a structured and professionally guided conversation with an individual who is struggling with addiction. During the conversation, family and friends will encourage you to seek treatment. This is often a pivotal step for those resistant to getting help.

Detox Service Setting

  • Hospital Detox

Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.

  • Inpatient Detox

Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.

  • Outpatient Detox

Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.

  • MAT

Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.

Programs

  • Adult (18+)

Adult programs address the substance use and life challenges specific to adults. Therapists can deliver sessions in individual, group and family settings. Services often include job support and life skills training in a structured environment.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on changing harmful thought patterns and behaviors associated with addiction. You’ll learn healthier coping mechanisms by identifying and replacing negative thoughts. This improves your emotional resilience and decreases your relapse potential.

  • Drug Detox

Drug detox programs support individuals who are withdrawing from addictive substances like cocaine and heroin. Medical support helps you manage symptoms in a controlled and safe environment so you can achieve initial sobriety.

  • LGBTQ Friendly

LGBTQ friendly programs create an inclusive and affirming space for recovery. Treatment is sensitive to issues like discrimination and stigma. You’ll receive support and therapy that respects and acknowledges your unique experiences.

  • Military / Veterans

Military and veteran programs offer specialized support for clients who served in the armed services. Programs focus on reintegration and healing within a structured and supportive environment that acknowledges the unique struggles of military life.

  • EMDR Therapy

EMDR stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy. It helps you process traumatic memories that may underlie addiction. You’ll learn how to reduce emotional distress and begin healing from past events. This makes it effective for trauma related addiction causes.

  • Animal Therapy

Animal therapy uses interactions with animals such as dogs or horses as part of treatment. You’ll learn to develop trust, lower your anxiety levels and regulate your emotions. This provides comfort and a sense of companionship during the recovery journey.
