Residential Substance Use Treatment
Abraxas Academy provides residential treatment designed specifically for teen boys facing drug and alcohol use disorders.
The program pairs clinical counseling with coordinated care on a 54 acre campus featuring eight residential units, classroom space, a medical suite and recreational amenities.
Treatment centers on group based programs and clinical counseling within a safe environment. They don’t have detox here directly but they can help you coordinate detox if needed.
Sessions focus on developing coping skills and positive decision making, helping each young man address the behaviors underlying substance use while working toward lasting change.
Education and Vocational Support
Beyond treatment, Abraxas Academy offers a comprehensive academic program including credit recovery and the opportunity to earn a high school diploma.
Year round schooling follows Pennsylvania Department of Education standards, with a full time Education Coordinator monitoring progress and PA certified special education teachers meeting individualized learning needs.
Vocational training and skills development round out the program to prepare students for productive futures.

Inpatient

Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. Participants live at the facility around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms. This setting is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions, as it ensures a stable detox environment.

Opioid detox uses medications to ease severe withdrawal symptoms. It also includes medical supervision to manage potential complications. These services allow individuals to stabilize and start a recovery plan. -
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on changing harmful thought patterns and behaviors associated with addiction. Participants learn healthier coping mechanisms by identifying and replacing negative thoughts. This improves emotional resilience and lowers the risk of relapse. -
Drug Detox
