About Boston Eco Sober House

Eco Sober Houses in Boston, Massachusetts, doesn’t provide detox or direct treatment services. Instead, these are supportive living homes for men who have previously completed a level of treatment. They’ve created a secure and safe environment where residents create a community with one another as they work toward their individual recovery goals.

Group meetings and regular drug testing are part of residential life here. Those who miss meetings or fail tests may be at risk of dismissal. Clients are also encouraged to find support groups in the surrounding community.

Employment Support

Sober houses promote independent living among residents, and part of that means securing employment. Doing so demonstrates personal responsibility while allowing you to support yourself financially, and it also works as a relapse prevention measure. Staff will help you in your job search, and you can use the area’s public transportation options to get to and from work once you’ve landed a job.

If you need acute services, they may be able to refer you. Other than that, clients are required to attend at least one weekly meeting in the evenings. Curfews are generous but are strictly enforced. Overnight stays and extended nights out are at the discretion of the house manager.

Celebrating the Differences

This program and its homes reflect the diversity of the Boston area, and men of all backgrounds are welcome at its doors. This diversity—be it culturally, ethnic, or something else–invites unique viewpoints and experiences into the recovery process.
