NYC Health and Hospitals Ida G Israel is an outpatient addiction treatment program in Brooklyn, New York that serves the Coney Island and South Brooklyn communities as part of the city’s largest municipal healthcare system. With over 25 years of service to underserved populations, the program emphasizes integrated evidencecbased care with flexible payment options and multilingual services.

Detox for Opioid and Alcohol Use

Clients can access a full continuum of outpatient services beginning with medically supervised outpatient detox and progressing through regular outpatient treatment or intensive outpatient programming based on individual needs. The center also provides on site medication assisted treatment with methadone and buprenorphine maintenance for opioid and alcohol dependence.

Specialty Tracks within Addiction Treatment

Treatment includes individual and group therapy, addiction education, and evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, trauma counseling, and 12 step facilitation.

The program serves adults age 17 and over with specialty tracks for men, women, older adults, families, and court-referred DWI/DAI clients. Dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring serious mental health disorders is available.

The center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, military insurance, sliding fee scale, and federal funding for substance use programs. They provide treatment in English, Russian, and Spanish.
