Located in Hempstead, New York, Counseling Service of Eastern District New York (CSEDNY) – Long Island provides alcohol and drug rehab services for adolescents and adults. Their age-specific programs include medical detox, outpatient treatment and aftercare support, including specialized services for Spanish-speaking clients and clients with co-occurring conditions.

Before clients begin medical detox, they undergo an initial assessment to help providers learn more about their condition and recommend treatment options. Clients requiring medication assisted treatment for withdrawal support receive appropriate FDA-approved medications, including methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone (Vivitrol).
