Located in Hempstead, New York, Counseling Service of Eastern District New York (CSEDNY) – Long Island provides alcohol and drug rehab services for adolescents and adults. Their age-specific programs include medical detox, outpatient treatment, and aftercare support, including specialized services for Spanish-speaking clients and clients with co-occurring conditions.

Before clients begin medical detox, they undergo an initial assessment to help providers learn more about their condition and recommend treatment options. Clients requiring medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for withdrawal support receive appropriate FDA-approved medications, including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone (Vivitrol).
