About Everyday Miracles Peer Recovery Center
Everyday Miracles’ Peer Recovery Center features support to individuals struggling with substance abuse, as well as their loved ones. It’s part of the Spectrum network. You’ll find them based in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. All their peer services are provided for free.
Peer & Community Support as Addiction Treatment
While this center doesn’t provide detox services, it can refer you to their branch in Westborough that does. Otherwise, they’ll find someone more local. In fact, the services provided here can work well alongside detox and medically assisted approaches. They also provide medication-assisted treatment in their Worcester site on Lincoln Street.
While here, you can expect to come across various support groups, social events, and workshops to support your recovery efforts. Workshop focuses vary, but cover topics like parenting skills, and anger management.
You can also access computers and resources when looking for stable housing and employment, while hot meals are served up twice a week. Members also have access to a full kitchen. A TV room also features a spot where you can wind down, or engage in recreational activities with your peers.
The Program Director, Michael Earielo, touches on the value of peer support in the recovery process, saying, “Everyday Miracles staff and members can relate where traditional clinicians cannot, immediately establishing trust.”
Specialized Substance Abuse Support for Mothers
Known as “M.I.R.A.C.L.E. MAMAS”, the center also hosts a targeted support group for mothers in recovery from substance abuse issues. The focus here is on empowering participants as they progress through their recovery journey, as well as encouraging and facilitating family reunification.
