About High Point Treatment Center/TSS Womens Addiction Treatment Center

The Women’s Addiction Treatment Center (WATC), part of High Point Treatment Center, provides medical detox and stabilization services to adult women and those who identify as female in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Those on methadone maintenance can continue methadone while detoxing from other substances. Services include counseling, case management, and in-house AA and NA meetings.

Medical detox at WATC has two phases: detox and stabilization. During detox, clients are monitored by medical personnel who can provide medication and other treatments to manage withdrawal symptoms and keep the detox process safe. During stabilization, clients are given individual and group counseling, 12-step meeting options, addiction education, and overdose prevention strategies.

After the stabilization process, clients are referred to residential or outpatient alcohol and drug rehab programs, depending on their needs. High Point Treatment Center has both options available, or clients may be referred to another provider.

The Women’s Addiction Treatment Center may accept a wide range of insurance plans, such as Humana, Ambetter, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, and more. Because insurance plans vary, be sure to verify coverage information and out-of-network details with the insurer.
